Maoist leader Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has said that proposed Pancheshwar and West Seti projects are not in favour of nation if they are implemented in present circumstances.

On the programme organized by the Revolutionary Journalist Union of Kanchanpur here on Friday, Dr. Bhattarai said that the distribution of electricity and water generated by these projects are not in favour of nation. He mentioned that although his party is not against implementation of any big projects but re-assessment must be done on the projects which are against the national benefit. He also mentioned that before implementing any big project like Karnali, Pancheshwar of Mahakali and West Seti they should be redefine in the benefit of the Nation and than only agreement should be done.

Dr. Bhattarai said that at the time when Nepal is inching towards the federal state any project must be implemented after taking care of the benefit of Seti-Mahakali people in regards to Karnali State, West Seti and Pancheshwar. "Both the projects are design improperly" he said.

Mentioning that the present government is staying in power by forgery he said that to reinstate the people supremacy in the country and for forming constitution, unified national government headed by the maoist must be organized as soon as possible.

Dr. Bhattarai who has visited Kanchanpur for the first time has participated in various programme organized by the party. On Friday he had inaugurated the ninth district seminar of the Revolutionary Student Union of Kanchanpur.
