Floreign experts join KUKL

Foreign experts at the Kathmandu Upatyeka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) took their responsibility from Sunday.
Those joining the KUKL are general manager Richard Austin, technical manager Josef W. Ehrmann, and Finance and Administration Manager Kelvyn Parmer.
Timila Yami Thapa, president of the company greeted newly entered officials amidst a function at the company's head office Tripureshwor, said a press release issued by KUKL. According to the release, Austin has sought joint cooperation to succeed in the expansion and distribution of drinking water in the Kathmandu Valley.
Kathmandu Valley Water Management Board (KVWMB) and KUKL had taken charge of managing the supply of drinking water for the valley since 3rd February this year. The transfer of responsibility from Nepal Water Supply Corporation to the company was a pre-condition set by Asian Development Bank for grant and loan for the construction of Melamchi Drinking Water Project which is expected to complete by 2011.
